Makeup Revolution // Blush Palette's

Well hello there! Let's jump right into this post because there is a lot of images to go through. I just had to have these new Makeup Revolution blush palette's. I've seen a couple of blog posts showing off these amazing palette's and knew I had to pick them up. They only cost £6.00 each, you can purchase them at any participating Superdrug stores on the highstreet, Superdrug Online and Makeup Revolution Online . I bought mines from the Superdrug on Princes Street, Edinburgh.

Okay, now onto the palette's. I picked up the only two that are available so far, Hot Spice and Sugar & Spice. I was surprised by the quality of these palette's, they have a nice weight to them and look nice and sleek with a glossy black finish. The palette's came in their own individual outer box which was sealed. Bonus! For me, this is a great feature because you know that your palette hasn't been tampered with or swatched. Inside they come complete with 8 different blush colours including 1 baked blush and 1 baked highlighter.

Unfortunately my swatch pictures didn't turn out so well but here are some pictures of both palette's:

Both palette's are extremely pigmented and have very strong colour pay off when applied. Be careful of how much you use. The harshness of colour may perhaps be a slight let down if I am being honest. You have to make sure you blend these colours right in otherwise they will look like you have waaaaay to much blusher on!

Nevertheless, I think these palette's are great for people who are either, just starting out with makeup or like me, a complete cosmetic fiend that just can't help herself when it comes to exciting new makeup.

Liz Earle: Daily Eye Repair

Sooo soothing...

Hey guys, I hope everyone is well. I have been reading some amazing blogs lately, I am glad to be part of such a beautiful community. Today or, tonight I should say, I have a post about the Liz Earle Daily Eye Repair. I decided to write about this product as it has been tried and tested by myself and I am now onto my second little tube. 

I was introduced to Liz Earle sometime last year whilst indulging in some sneaky television shopping channel viewing. Come on you all watch QVC... This shopping channel is one of the best with regards to product knowledge, these guys know it all. Liz Earle herself came on screen and proceeded to inform me of how justifiably glorious all of her products are. Well,  that was me sold. OK it clearly doesn't take much to bribe me with lush beauty products but I was really interested in what she had to say and the products just looked and sounded fab.

One of the few Liz Earle skincare and beauty garments I own is their Daily Eye Repair. I was advised to use this particular eye cream opposed to something a bit stronger as I wasn't old enough... hmmm... I will admit that I have an unhealthy obsession with my eye wrinkles. The lovely lady at the Liz Earl counter told me that some of the other eye creams were geared towards a more maturer skin and that I should start off using this one. I realised that I must have sounded like a paranoid maniac when I asked for the strongest eye wrinkle antidote they sold. Well at 25 I am getting on a bit.

OK. First of all, the packaging is nice and simple, it tells you what the product is, a brief breakdown of what is in the cream and boom we are ready to go. The outer packaging is actually quite nice as it has an unusual shape and a floral design up the side of the box. As much as I love little cute boxes they all end up in the recycling I'm not one for hoarding petite bits of cardboard anymore no matter how cute they are. The actual product is a lightweight cream texture that goes underneath the eye and the surrounding area if needed. It can be used day/night and can be worn underneath makeup. I have to say that it feels very soft and smooth on application and sinks right into the skin within minutes. I did notice a slight difference when I started using this cream but when I stopped that was when I really noticed, it just soothes dry or dehydrated skin and leave you with a soft supple surface. I would recommend this product to anyone who has any of the above issues. I would also like to point out that I have extremely sensitive skin and this cream does not irritate it which for me, is a winner!

Sleek: Face

Hey! Hope everyone is doing well. Since the weather in this country is still deciding what to do with itself I cheer myself up by purchasing random makeup products in which I don't actually need. However, it makes for a nice little blog post for you all to skim through especially on days like today. 

Whilst browsing around Superdrug I came across this little palette from Sleek. Concealer is something that I am always keen to try out whatever the brand, for me personally it is such an important staple to have in your collection. 

Product Breakdown:

- Shade 03

- SPF 15

- 4.2g (0.15oz)

- x1 concealer

- x1 corrector 

- x1 setting powder

- £7.99

I am presuming that the top colour is the actual concealer, the middle the corrector and the bottom yellow tone shade is the setting powder. When I swatched all three products they all appeared to have good pigmentation, both the concealer and the corrector have a very similar creamy consistency, the setting powder feels a little bit chalky when swatched. I'm not sure how well this product will last on the skin, if this is intended for the eye area the concealer and corrector are both very thick. The setting powder is yellow based perhaps to balance out the orange tones in the corrector? I think this set is worth a try based on price alone lets face it where else can you get a compact with all three products for less that 8 quid good or bad?
