The glorious YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks have the spotlight tonight! Everything a girl could possibly want out of a lipstick. These little sticks of joy have become popular among many beauty bloggers / vloggers, YouTubers etc. The gold bullet tube with the iconic YSL emblem makes for a stylish decorative feature to display on any vanity table with its classic, chic design.
The lipsticks are pretty pricey retailing for around £25 each however, not too overboard in my opinion considering the quality and amount you get (4.0g). You defiantly get what you pay for with these lipsticks. If you have a Luxury Beauty Store near you it's worth while checking in there every now and again as they tend to get limited edition and discontinued products and charge a fraction of the price.
YSL have an amazing range of lipsticks and shades (I wanna try them all!). There are different variations of the Rouge Volupte, I have the original and shine at the moment.

Personally, both original and shine Rouge Volupte lipsticks have a beautiful finish and a smooth texture when applied. The original Rouge Volupte has a slight sheen but nothing too glossy or sparkly, they are also extremely pigmented which means that you won't use / waste as much product. Just as the name suggests the Rouge Volupte Shine definitely leaves a more glossy finish to the lips but doesn't feel sticky. Both kinds have a fruity scent that is almost like watermelon, it is noticeable and lasts just about as long as you have the lipstick on.
The longevity of the lipsticks isn't too bad, obviously if you are eating and drinking you might have to touch up around the centre of your lips. Touching up lipstick doesn't bother me too much as it leaves me with a good excuse to look at my lipstick haha (such a victim I know).
Overall, I absolutely love these lipsticks and will most likely be adding more colours to my collection.
Have you tried any of these lipsticks, if so, what's your ultimate favourite shade?
